The Consumer Price Index (CPI), released by the Bavaria statistics office on a monthly basis, measures the average price change for all goods and services purchased by households in Bavaria for consumption purposes. The YoY figure compares the prices of goods in the reference month to a year earlier. The data tends to be a leading indicator of the national German CPI as it is published a few hours earlier.
